"It takes place in the 1990s and while it is an origin story of our hero, it is a very different type of origin story which we’re excited to unveil to audiences” said the chairperson of Marvel. He also said that the film had come extremely well and Brie Larson have done an amazing job for the film portraying Carol Danvers onscreen along with an equally good performance from Samuel Jackson who is seen in the young age of Nick Fury throughout the film.
The film is not completely adopted from the comic book and they have written a whole different story in order to give a strong inaugural story for the superhero and Carol has her own great character in the film.
