Halloween becomes the Highest Collected Film of the Franchise with Blockbuster Opening Weekend

The last week release Halloween has outperformed all the projections, collecting a monstrous $77.5 million for its opening weekend at the domestic box office. The movie’s opening is marked as the second biggest October openings of all-time behind the recently released Venom and just with the opening, the film beat the final run of all the Halloween films taking to the top of the list.
This is a huge feat for the film with a budget of $10 million, it already became a big blockbuster and set to rule the box office for coming weeks too. With a series of disappointing films in the franchise for the past decade, now the name has got a comeback with a mostly favourable response from the critics and fantastic reception at the box office.
While the movie was getting mixed reviews from the early screenings, Halloween got a nod from the audience post-release and performing more than expected. The worldwide total of the film stands at $91.8 million including $14.3 million from 23 international markets where it got released simultaneously. The film is yet to release in various markets at respective dates due to its worldwide famous franchise name.
Though the movie ruled the weekend at the domestic market, the international box office was taken over by the superhero film Venom due to its high popularity and appealing genre all over the globe. The movie collected $32 million from 65 markets in its third weekend and dominated completely by a mile difference. Halloween movie with its positive buzz post-release is expected to grow over the coming days and expected to make a record for horror films behind IT.
