NASA's Ingenuity Helicopter is set to take its fist flight on Sunday from Mars

Ingenuity helicopter set by NASA has placed on Red Planet (Mars) makes its first flight to another planet in a day. 

 US Space agency said the helicopter has successfully passed the initial test of the Rotors.

Ingenuity, a small robotic helicopter located on Mars on February 18, 2021, launched on July 30, 2020, with the power of 350 watts, is set on Mars.

The landing mass of this helicopter is 1.8Kg (4.0lb), diameter Rotor 102m (4 ft), and the height is 0.49m (1 ft 7 inches).


According to US eastern time, it is set to take off from Mars Jezero Crater on Sunday at 10.54 pm and hovers ten feet (3 meters) above the surface for half - minute, says NASA.

NASA has officially tweeted Ingenuity updates on its page, saying, '2 more days till our Ingenuity #MarsHelicopter attempts the first powered, controlled flight on another planet. Watch NASA TV live from @NASAJPL on April 12 at 3:30 am ET (7:30 am UT) as mission teams receive the first data signals from the historic test.'
