Usually, space rocks will find its way around the Sun and pass across the Earth. This is going to happen on May 25th but with some differences. A large body is a mile away from the Earth and has a small asteroid moon that follows it. This huge mass of rock seemed to pose a threat but fortunately, nothing is going to happen in this case. Let us now take some time in knowing about this asteroid.
The name of the asteroid is 1999 KW4. This asteroid is reasonably far from the Earth. Precisely it stands after 3.2 million miles which is 13 times more than the distance between our Earth and the Moon. Thus, no threat but an opportunity for the astronomers who want to learn more about the asteroids. Earlier observations tell that the asteroid is a diamond esque shape and similar to other asteroids like Ryugu. However, it is still not known how these rocks get their shapes, the process for reaching the shape and the time taken is out of clue.
Astronomers and scientists are also interested to learn about the small moons of asteroids. Their origin, characteristics, regolith nature and other materials found on the asteroid. It might be a large piece of rock that was broken long back and revolving around the parent rock.
