European Commission: Type-C Ports Would Be Given To iPhones?

The European Commission has brought a law that all electronic devices sold in the European Union must have a Type-C port. It was also announced that this law will be effective in 2024.

While the Type-C port is prevalent in all Android phones, Apple has yet to give any information about whether this port will be used in iPhones. In this case, Apple executives Craig Federighi and Greg Joswiak, who participated in a panel discussion held by the Wall Street Journal, confirmed that Type-C ports would be given to iPhones.

Even though Apple didn't like the decision, they said they were forced to accept the change. At the same time, the two have yet to confirm whether this decision is only for iPhones sold within the European Union and when the Type-C port will be given to iPhones released. According to this, the iPhone 15, which is to be released next year and is expected to have Type C cable.
