Google has been seriously working on many projects subsequently that involve Android P Developing, Gmail design altering and also refreshing Material Design of its own browser Google Chrome. The testing done by Google could be seen by any chrome user as it is tested in the latest Canary developer of Chrome.
The existing Chrome version has trapezoid shaped tabs and it is to be converted to rounded corners as available in the old version of Mozilla Firefox. The feature can also be seen in the new look of Gmail whose interface has also been altered. Also, Canary reveals the change in the tab colour from light grey to pure white. A new round profile icon can be seen on the right side of address bar. Further updations about the changes in Google ongoing projects shall be expected to be unveiled by next month at I/O developer conference.
Recently, Google has updated the Material Design document and it has been open to the public on its website. It is to be noticed that the reference name "Material Design 2"is finalized amidst several rumours about names like "Material Design Refresh" and others. Previously, it is also stated that touch-friendly chrome version would be a part of Material Design.
In addition to the chrome changes, Material Design2 has been enabled in "My Account" settings and made available in the latest beta version (12.6.65) of Google Play services. My Account of Google has been divided into three sections - Sign-in & security, Personal info & privacy and Account preferences. The header features profile image, name and email address but hidden. New outlook, altered text styles and new design styled Menu are the evident features of Material Design of Google account Settings in Google Play Services.
