Google Maps Get Explore Tab To Act As Guide To Users

Google Maps relieve the workload of its users in selecting a restaurant, according to the new update to Google Maps. The app which is actually meant for giving directions to its users, now, has an added responsibility to assist them in discovering the needed places like restaurants, malls, theatres etc. 

Jen Fitzpatrick told that users had asked for a tool that assists them in learning the places around their locations. For this, Explore tab has been provided to look at the details regarding the place of search in the form of a list based on the most searched or relevant ones. The generated list can be shared with friends for asking suggestions and enabling them to pick up so that more vote preferred options in the list by other friends could be known and decision shall be taken accordingly. This process would actually consume time as users have to type the restaurant details and share them.

Google Maps to act more like a tour guide. In addition to this, "For You" tab will be introduced that would be using information such as location history and ratings and providing recommendations for local places.
