Redmi Y2 In India Available At Amazon Flash Sale On June 12 First Time

A rebranded Redmi S2 version named as Redmi Y2 was launched in India on June 7 (Thursday) and it will be available for sale in India on June 12 (tomorrow). The sale starts at afternoon 12 pm in its own website Mi.com, e-commerce website Amazon India. 

Interestingly, the budget smartphone will be sold in two configurations - 3GB/32 GB and 4GB/64 GB variants at the mid-range price of Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 12,999 respectively and in three colours - Gold, Rose Gold and Dark Grey. The memory space can be expanded up to 256 GB. Various cashback and discount offers are available for customers who have ICICI Bank cards and Airtel network users. 

AI enabled selfie camera is the highlighting feature of Redmi Y2 with which selfie in low light, Portrait size selfie, AI beautify and Auto HDR are possible on this smartphone. It houses 16 MP selfie camera with face unlocking feature and dual camera set-up at the back featuring 12 MP/5 MP along with the fingerprint sensor. In addition to these, the photo-editing feature can edit the background clearing unnecessary items in the picture taken. 

Redmi Y2 has a 5.99-inch HD+ screen with 1440 x 720 pixels display and 18:9 aspect ratio. It works on Android 8.1 Oreo and Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC is the processor upgraded from 450 SoC of Redmi Y1 and 3,080 is the battery capacity. Connectivity features include GPS, Wi-Fi 802/11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB 2.0, 4G VoLTE. 

Already it was mentioned that MIUI 10 Beta update shall be made in Xiaomi's models such as Redmi Note 4, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A and there is also a possibility for Redmi Y2 model in getting the update for a better user interface which has MIUI 9.5 as the current user interface.
